Ngā Tapuwae Gallipoli trails

Ngā Tapuwae Gallipoli Trails are self-guided journeys through First World War sites of great significance to New Zealanders. If you are looking to visit Gallipoli, check out our travel planning information.

Ngā Tapuwae Gallipoli guides you through five trails. Three key trails cover the Anzac landing, Quinn’s Post and Chunuk Bair, and the other two (driving) trails include the battles at Cape Helles and Hill 60. You can follow these trails on the ground or explore them from home.

Key trails

If you have only a day to spend on the Gallipoli peninsula, take the three key trails and allow several hours to explore them fully. If you're short on time, get the big picture in under an hour by visiting the one must-do stop on each trail.

Driving trails

To make the most of Gallipoli, give yourself two or three days. Explore the key trails then take one or both of the driving trails as well.
